Who we are
Afterlight is made by Imagey AI Inc., a Delaware C corporation trading as imagey.ai ("we", "us"). For anything about privacy, email hello@imagey.ai.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. You don't sign up, and the game sends none of your gameplay, choices or progress to us or to anyone else.
What is stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game uses your browser's local storage. That is ordinary data kept on your own device, not a cookie, and it never leaves it:

This storage is strictly necessary for features you use, so no consent banner is required. To erase it, use "Restart this painting" in the pause menu, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising, fingerprinting or social-media trackers. Fonts, videos and music are served from our own site, so playing makes no requests to third-party services.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Like any web host, Netlify briefly processes technical information needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure: your IP address, browser type and request times, in server logs. We don't use this information to identify you. Netlify acts as our processor; see Netlify's privacy policy. Where this involves a transfer from the UK or EEA to the USA, it's covered by Netlify's data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other sites, such as our films on YouTube or our main site imagey.ai. If you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Children
Afterlight is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information, no one, of any age, is asked for any.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or California law), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. We hold no personal data about players, but if you have a question or request, including about the hosting logs above, email hello@imagey.ai and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change how Afterlight handles data (for example by adding accounts or online features), we'll update this notice and the date above before the change takes effect.
